Who is United Laundry?
We are not a laundromat, we are not open to the public, we are a professional laundry service company, specially
set up to handle commercial, residential and campus laundry. You simply can not get the same results from your
local laundromat. Plus we NEVER mix clothing, a common practice in neighborhood laundromats.
How is my laundry picked up and dropped off?
If you sign up for a package, we will automatically pick up your laundry once (1) a week for the duration of the plan
you chose (semester, yearly, etc.) If you are a pay-per-wash client, you may send us your laundry at any time by
leaving your laundry at the designated service location.
Who is laundering my clothes?
We do! we don't use a middle man, all your clothing is processed in our New Jersey facility.
I have dry cleaning, what do I do?
Laundry service plans do not include dry cleaning, however we can provide your with expert dry cleaning
at separate unbeatable rates! Once you sign up with us, you will receive a price list for dry cleaning, whenever you
have dry cleaning, simply place your dry cleaning in a separate bag and we will pick it up along with your regular
laundry.
Can I put any clothing item in my bag?
You may send us all your "regular laundry", such as pants, shirts, sheets, socks, underwear, towels, and any
non-dry cleaning item. Comforters may be processed but will be charged separately, if you are not sure about a
clothing item, please call us, we will be more than happy to assist you.
I signed up for a package and I exceeded my weekly poundage limit, what happens?
No problem, if you exceed your weekly poundage limit, you will only be charged an extra $0.85 per pound for every
pound over the limit. To avoid you any hassles, any extra charges will be billed to you at the end of the month, with
a statement so you can see your usage. Also, if you constantly exceed your weekly poundage limit, one of our
representatives will contact you to offer you an upgrade to a larger plan.
Should I sign up for a package or just pay-per-wash?
If you want complete comfort, convenience and to save money, then packages are the way to go. Although you pay
for packages up front, you are basically being charged between $0.65-$0.80 per pound based on the weekly
poundage chosen and for how long you sign up for. Once you purchase a package, you won't have to worry about
getting your laundry done or paying for it. However, if you choose to pay-per-wash, you pay only when you use our
service, but you will be charged $0.90 per pound and payment is due upon rendering of services. Most students
who try the pay-per-wash option, end up signing up for a package since they quickly realize how easy our service
is and they also realize that if they are sending their laundry weekly, they might as well save some money!
Can you process delicates?

The FDU service location is located at "Residence Life" between the freshmen halls in Hamilton Twombly in the I-Wing. The office is staffed
Monday-Friday from 10:00AM - 4:00PM. Students may drop off and pickup their laundry from there accordingly.
Can you process special items (leather, silk or cashmere, etc.)?
Yes, quotes for special items are available if requested, however, expect our prices to be well below standard laundry or dry cleaning facilities!
What happens if I miss a pick up. Can I make it up the following semester?
No, United Laundry does not offer refunds for individual weeks. Please keep in mind we do give you plenty of time to send your laundry, as you
may leave your laundry at the designated location anytime Mon-Fri between 10AM-4PM.
Can I cancel part of the way through the semester?
You may cancel any time before October 1st for the Fall, and March 1st in the Spring. You will be refunded on a pro rated basis minus a $30
cancellation fee.
If I sign up midway through the semester, do I have to pay for a full semester?
No, you will be charged on a pro rated basis, depending on the number of weeks remaining in the semester.
How do you know which bag is mine?
Our tagging and ID system will make sure your bag is not lost, we can track your bag throughout the entire process.
Is the service expensive?
No, our price plans are designed to cost you less than if YOU would drop off and pick up your laundry at a local Laundromat during an entire
semester or year. Remember, we save you time and hassles. Our service is so efficient is may become addictive!
